Dicks: The Musical (2023)
Based on an off-Broadway musical, Dicks: The Musical follows two self-centered businessmen who discover they are identical twins separated at birth, their madcap shenanigans underscored with catchy cabaret-style show tunes. On Air Design printed various flamboyant wallpaper patterns and some re-created tile patterns to complete the sets.
Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
Dads everywhere rejoiced when this long-awaited sequel to the iconic Top Gun hit theaters in 2022. Starring familiar faces (and sets) alongside new ones, the second installment of the Top Gun franchise sees Tom Cruise back in the pilot’s seat for a heartfelt storyline amid jaw-dropping action. Keep an eye out for the red and blue US Navy Fighter Weapons school decals and faux gray terrazzo we printed throughout the film!
Licorice Pizza (2021)
A time capsule of the San Fernando Valley circa 1973, Licorice Pizza is a nostalgic, heartfelt story of two young people growing up and falling in love. Director Paul Thomas Anderson’s vision for the film reflected his memories of growing up in that specific time and place– and On Air Design was happy to help bring that vision to life! Our work includes touches like groovy posters announcing a Teenage Fair, retro geometric fabric, and a gold and brown floral wallpaper straight out of the 70s.
Birds of Prey (2020)
Written, directed, and produced by women, Birds of Prey is an over-the-top, madcap dash through Harley Quinn’s post-Joker life as she teams up with other women superheroes from the DC universe. Director Cathy Yan’s comic-book-inspired vision comes to life with brilliant color, fun graphics, and carefully-framed compositions. On Air created a custom red and pink floral wallpaper to serve as the backdrop for Harley’s delightfully messy apartment.
